PRODUCING
As a producer of theatre & live events, I have experience in fundraising, budgeting, marketing, planning tours, communicating with venues, company development and hosting large scale & smaller-scale events.
I am the producer and associate director for multi-award-winning PIGFOOT, the first explicitly carbon-neutral theatre company in the UK. We are dedicated to making collaborative, environmental theatre with and for those grappling with the climate crisis. I have written several successful Arts Council England applications for Pigfoot. I produced 'How To Save A Rock', a bike-powered family comedy about how to still have hope at VAULT Festival 2020, winner of the inaugural staging change award, and selling out many of our performances. I then ran the shows our digital tour with Slung Low, The Albany, Pound Arts, Camden Peoples Theatre & Poplar Union which streamed to over 2,000 young people across the UK. UK. I am also co-producing our show 'HOT IN HERE (a carbon-neutral dance party), a co-creation with young climate activists in Camden, commissioned by Camden Peoples Theatre.
I am a founding member and the producer for Tathata Theatre, an emerging theatre company dedicated to creating collaborative work which is inventive, funny & thought-provoking story-telling. We hosted a socially distanced R&D and Work in Progress sharing of our first show, The Sobcentre by Guy Woods at The Island in Bristol in August 2020.
I am producing my first short film, Plunge, by Lucy Foster, directed by Kayla Feldman, to be filmed in Summer 2021. I am part of Chichester Festival Theatre's first Youth Advisory Board, working to increase accessibility, diversity & inclusivity within the theatre. Whilst at Durham, I ran Fourth Wall Theatre, where my work as a producer included Yen (Edinburgh Fringe 2018. - best selling show in the venue), Boys (tour 2018), Ladies who Lunch (Edinburgh Fringe 2018 - 2 week, sell out run), Under my leadership, we had two shows selected for the National Student Drama Festival, Killology (2019) and Beats (2020) and we expanded our social media reach from 500 to 2,500 in two years. I also produced the sell-out Durham University Graduate Showcase at The Tristan Bates Theatre, doubling our industry our attendance to previous years.
I was the Vice President (Operations) of the Durham University Charity Fashion Show 2018 (DUCFS). Raising £150,000 for the Environmental Justice Foundation, DUCFS is the single largest most profitable student fundraiser in the UK. As part of a presidential team of 3, we led a team of 25 committee members, 50 models and 70+ volunteers. The role incl. overseeing the website, control of branding & social media, sponsorship, transport, ticketing, budgeting, 10 varied pre-show events, a sustainable brand, creation of amagazine, marketing strategy, and the creation of the show itself, a multimedia spectacle three nights and welcoming 3,000 guests.
